The Scirocco wind arrives and the flowers bloom, including those of the olive tree.
These photos were taken of some trees that are located on an ancient road, near our oil mill, called "a strata di li Rocchi".
The trees grow embedded in the travertine rock, from which they derive nourishment and water.
We had never seen such a showy bloom, you can barely see the leaves in the middle of the flowers.
The Scirocco wind that blows hot from the south makes them bloom all and with its power it brings pollen to the sea and helps the olive trees to reduce the presence of mold and greedy insects.
The so hot Scirocco wind is a healthy touch for our olive trees so stay cool who can and hope for abundant fruiting!
