Mango Kensington of Sicily.

The Kensington mango is the first variety of mango to have been introduced in Sicily since the 80s and it's the one that has acquired the best adaptation to the climate of the island. The pioneers of mango research in Sicily identified the Kensington as one of the varieties to be studied to verify its adaptability to the climate and it proved to be the only one able to survive the Sicilian temperatures.

The fruit is small-medium sized (about 250g), yellow-green in color and highly fibrous.
The flavor is rich and sweet and it is the one with the thickest pulp, rich in fibre, a precious characteristic for the diet.
Rich in water, it contains various vitamins and mineral salts such as potassium, phosphorus, calcium and magnesium.
The mango is a real concentration of polyphenols which carry out important functions in the body. It appears to be an aphrodisiac and slimming fruit.
