The lemon, honey and manna marmalade is ideal for breakfast and tasty snacks, to do cakes and pies and it also goes very well with cheeses with an intense flavor such as Parmesan and Pecorino or as a pleasant end of the meal, especially fish dishes. Manna and honey are the sweeteners: exclusively natural. The manna, obtained from the trees of "Frassino da manna", can be found only in Sicily and is sweetly good and a very nutritious natural supplement. The locally produced honey completes the recipe.
The manna is a typical Sicilian product recognized in the list of traditional food products (PAT) that produces beneficial effects: intestinal regulation, autoimmunity, detoxifies the liver, can also be taken by diabetics in consideration of the low content of fructose glucose (on average 8.7%) and is a powerful natural supplement also suitable for children with constipation problems.
